Old Bujons pharmacy

Share:

The old Bujons pharmacy is a historic establishment in the neighborhood of La Vila de Martorell, the old center of the town. It was founded in 1842 by Josep Bujons Palau, and was in operation until 1957, when Josep Anton Bujons Llobet, grandson of the founder, closed it when he went to live outside the municipality.

It was in 2016 when it was reopened, renovated and turned into a museum, since the deterioration of the building made its restoration necessary.

Inside are preserved jars, bottles, boxes of medicinal herbs, ointments, utensils and documentary material that we put on display for the public, so that they can see how it was worked in an ancient pharmacy.

Guided tours in catalan and spanish language are punctual and free, and are advertised on the website https://entrades.martorell.cat

If you are interested in arranging guided tours, you can call to: 93 774 22 23 or write to: museus@martorell.cat

The pharmacy has a limited capacity of 15 people and is wheelchair accessible.
