Historically, marked by its proximity to the river and the city of Barcelona, Cornellà is one of the towns in the region with the most inhabitants. Despite its development, there are several points and events of interest. The historical heritage is led by the Can Mercader Palace, within the magnificent park of the same number, by different buildings from the modernist era, such as the Edifici de les Aigües or the Castell del Borni, where we will highlight the first as the main point of interest:

El Museu de les Aigües, currently the Agbar Museum, is a contemporary museum dedicated to water that wants to take advantage of its knowledge and values from a vital experience, with a learning and recreational perspective, inaugurated in 1909, which offers through exhibitions and activities for all audiences, the opportunity to show the various manifestations and approaches to Barcelona. Today, the Cornellà Central continues to perform the same function as a century ago.

La Fira facilities host numerous thematic fairs throughout the year. And the Auditorium, next to it, important theatrical performances. In this scenic sense, Cornellà is internationally known for its Clown Festival, a biennial festival that has been celebrated since 1984 and which has the mission of disseminating the sociocultural aspect of the performing arts of clowns, the most prestigious in the world in its category, and which, through the Golden Nose award, recognises those tasks.
