Gavà

Gavà offers multiple attractions to visitors: a 4-kilometer-long waterfront, with a 400-meter-wide pine forest and a unique dune system, the Parc Natural del Garraf, which occupies a third of the municipality of Gavà, the Bruguers area, three kilometers from the town center and 254 meters above sea level, (place where we can find the La Mare de Déu de Bruguers hermitage, from the 12th century), or also the ruins of the castle of Eramprunyà, from the s. X. In short, we are talking about a municipality full of corners to enjoy both history and culture.

Its archaeological heritage is recognised as a first magnitude one, highlighting the prehistoric mines - the oldest in Europe - and the popular Venus de Gavà - with 5,800 years of antiquity.

In addition, Gavà is characterized by being a city with an important cultural, sporting and associative activity that has been able to recover and consolidate the most traditional festivals with new and innovative programs and events, among which we can highlight: the Fira d'espàrrecs (last weekend of April / first of May), the international Titelles Festival (biannual festival that takes place on the second weekend of May), the Festa Major de Sant Pere -co-patron of Gavà- (29 June) or the feasts of Saint Nicholas, Christmas and Kings (from December 14 to January 6).
